About AILA

Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliquée - International Association of Applied Linguistics
AILA is an international federation of national and regional associations of Applied Linguistics. Through its member associations AILA currently has a membership of more than 8000 individuals worldwide who are active in the field of Applied Linguistics as researchers, policy makers or practitioners.
AILA aims to contribute to the development of all subject areas of applied linguistics; to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge and practical experience; to stimulate international cooperation; to foster language pluralism and support applied linguistics in developing countries.
AILA Research Networks (ReNs), such as this ELL-ReN, are focused on special topics in Applied Linguistics.
The ELL ReN holds its Symposium at the AILA World Congress.
